Song des Tages: Lakes – „Must’ve Run All Day“

Bereits im vergangenen Jahr haben Lakes eine wunderbar schimmernde, atmosphärische Lo-Fi-Pop-Coverversion von Glassjaws „Worship And Tribute„-Klassiker „Must’ve Run All Day“ veröffentlicht. Dabei übernimmt die sechsköpfige Band aus dem britischen Watford so einige Elemente des 18 Jahre alten Songs aus der Feder der legendären New Yorker Post-Hardcore-Expermental-Rocker um Daryl Palumbo, während an anderer Stelle ebenjene Mid-Western-Emo-, Alternative-Rock- und Indie-Pop-Trademarks durchschimmern, welche auch Lakes‘ 2019 erschienenes Album „The Constance LP“ zu einem durchaus feinen Hörvergnügen für alle Freunde dieser Genres macht… Well done, lads.
