Song des Tages: Sigrid – „Everybody Knows“

Zwar war „Justice League„, der im vergangenen Jahr ins Kino gekommene Superhelden-DC Extended Universe-Blockbuster von Regisseur Zack Snyder, höchstens Unterhaltungsmittelmaß (was wohl nicht nur an der recht hölzern-mauen Story, sondern auch einmal mehr an der klaren Batman-Fehlbesetzung Ben Affleck lag), der Titelsong jedoch ist über jeden Zweifel erhaben…

Und das ist in der Tat aller Ehren wert, schließlich stammt das Original vom ewig großen kanadischen, vor zwei Jahren im Alter von 82 Lenzen verstorbenen Lyriker Leonard Cohen. Die 2017er Neuinterpretation der 21jährigen aufstrebenderen norwegischen Pop-Musikerin Sigrid Solbakk Raabe, welche unlängst von der renommierten BBC selbst einige Vorschusslorbeeren in Form der Ernennung zum „BBC Music Sound of 2018“ erhielt, klingt denn auch weniger nach den schrecklichen Achtziger-Synthies von Cohens Studioversion, sondern kommt – passend zur Atmosphäre der Anfangsbildsequenzen von „Justice League“ – mit bedeutungsschwangerem Piano und Streichern daher… Großes Kino, das auch den fulminanten Songtext noch einmal in ein recht zeitlos-zeitgeistiges Licht rückt.
