Was kommt, was ist angekündigt? – Der Veröffentlichungskalender 2023

Same procedure as every year – Das neue Jahr ist erst wenige Tage jung, wirft jedoch bereits – auch in Punkto Albumneuerscheinungen – den ein oder anderen langen Schatten voraus. Damit ihr auch 2023 nicht ganz und gänzlich den Überblick verliert, fasst ANEWFRIEND als kleinen Service für euch wieder so einige relevante Ankündigung knapp und übersichtlich zusammen.

Nachdem sich die Kulturbranche im vergangenen Jahr so langsam von der knapp zwei Lenze andauernden Pandemie erholte und wieder so einige Konzerte und Festivals stattfanden (wenngleich etwa steigende Kosten ganz neue Problemfelder eröffneten), zeigte sich auch im 2022er Veröffentlichungskalender, dass Künstler*innen und Bands seit 2020 – beinahe zwangsläufig, denn irgendwie mussten wir alle ja ungewohnt viel Zeit „totschlagen“ – deutlich mehr Stunden, Tage und Wochen in Proberäumen und Aufnahmestudios verbracht haben (und das ein oder andere tolle Album mehr aufgenommen haben). Den Hörer, den Fan, den Musikliebhaber freut so etwas freilich – da bleibt zu hoffen, dass ein paar kreative Ideen übrig geblieben sind und auch die Tage bis Dezember 2023 wieder das ein oder andere fulminant tönende Glanzlicht bereit halten werden… Also denn: ANEWFRIEND ist gespannt, ANEWFRIEND bleibt auch im elften Blogjahr (oder sogar schon zwölften – je nachdem, wie man’s betrachtet) maximal neugierig!

Neue Runde, neue Chance – Willkommen in 2023.

Ach, guck mal – wieder ein Jahr rum… Natürlich würde dem voraussehbaren Anlass auch Gisbert zu Knyphausens „Neues Jahr“ ausgezeichnet zu Gesicht stehen. Oder auch Death Cab For Cuties ewiggrüner Jahresanfangseinläutungssong „The New Year„, welcher hier schon des öfteren die folgenden zwölf Monate einläuten durfte.

Aber warum nicht einmal mit ebenjenen Traditionen brechen und 2023 mit etwas lauteren und – die letzten Jahre waren ja in vielerlei Belang doch schon dezent suboptimal – übellaunigeren Tönen beginnen? Kannsteeigentlichnixgegensagen. Gerade auch, wenn selbige von Thursday stammen und im vergangenen Annum rundes zwanzigstes Jubiläum feierten (sowie zudem auch stimmungsmäßig viel von der aktuell vorherrschenden Grundstimmung widerspiegeln, wie die Ankündigung dieser Live-Version belegt). Jau, da macht das kleine Emo-Herz glatt ’nen Dreisprung! We call it a Klassiker.

Ja denn also: Einen ganz uneitlen Toast auf ANEWFRIEND, schließlich feiert dieser mein bescheidener Blog heute sein nunmehr 11. digitales Wiegenfest. Und auf uns. Und, natürlich: auf euch.
