„Elephants was written about my brother and I’s relationship.
He lives on the other side of the world and we always have been close so extra effort is needed now with the time difference to keep in touch. He used to collect elephants when he was a kid (little toy ones).
It got me thinking that if someone was to actually collect elephants how hard it would be but if it meant a lot to them, much like with relationships, you do what you can to make it work.“
Hier gibt’s das Musikvideo…
…und den Song in der „7 Layers“-Live-Session:
„I live in an old house
Down by the seaside
Work in an office
But I hate what that feels like
I collect elephants
I got nowhere to put them
But they’re important to me
And I hope you call me
When you feel alone
When you’re missing home
Send a siren out to sea
If not for you, then do it for me
Sometime I choke up on nothing but fish
Open the fridge and I know there’s nothing in there
I collect elephants
And they shit everywhere
But they’re important to me
And I hope you call me
When you feel alone
When you’re missing home
Send a siren out to sea
If not for you, then do it for me
And I hope you call me
When you feel alone
When you’re missing home
Send a siren out to sea
If not for you, then do it for me
I hope you call me
When you feel alone
When you’re missing home
Send a siren out to sea
If not for you, then do it for me“
