Was könnte der ehemalige US-Präsident Barack Obama wohl zu TV-Koch Anthony Bourdain gesagt haben, als sich beide im vietnamesischen Hanoi – in einem Restaurant mit dem schönen Namen „Bun Cha Huong Lien“ – für ’ne flinke Nudelsuppe ein ein lokales Kühles auf Plastikstühlen niederließen (Bourdain selbst hat hierüber einen Artikel für cnn.com verfasst)? Hm…
Wer mit einer guten Schippe Ironie-Verständnis gesegnet sein sollte, mal den ganzen ikonographischen Bullshit beiseite lässt und sich nur auf die bloßen, blanken Fakten konzentriert, der könnte sich einen Teil der Konversation – abseits der Kameras, freilich – wie folgt vorstellen:
Obama: „So, Tony… I was at war for eight years solid – that’s a record – and completely against international law, ha ha! No president has kept bombing other human beings for as long as me! Seven counties I was killing people in – can you believe that?!? AND listen to this, you are going to love this: I am the only Nobel Peace Prize winner that has actually dropped bombs on other Nobel Peace Prize winners!“
